RTP will once again be scooping our doggie fro-yo at Trum Field from 10:00AM til 3:00PM as part of the Somerville Dog Festival, a great event which raises money through donations for local animal organizations. Presented by The Somerville Foundation for Animals, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, the festival is free and open to the public.
There will be demos in Urban Mushing, Treibball and K9 police tactics, as well as “Try-It” areas where you and your dog can work with trainers to get a taste of activities like Agility and Nosework. Is your dog more of a diva than an athlete? Enter them in the “Best Trick” contest or the “Dog/Owner Look-A-Like” contest! Combine all of this with jugglers, magicians, local vendors and an all-dog production of “The 3 Little Pigs,” and you’ve got a unique event for the whole family! For more info on this year’s festival, visit somdogfest.org .
Last year’s event drew THOUSANDS of attendees, so if your pup wants yogurt, get their early!
*NOTE: For safety, only well-mannered dogs on-leash (no flexi leads, please) and current on vaccinations are invited.
